The lash lifting glue does not hold
With lash lifting glue, as with any other product used in the studio, the first thing to look out for is quality. If this is not right, the result will not be satisfactory. However, poor cleaning can also mean that the adhesive does not hold properly. This is the case if oily products are used that impair the durability of the adhesive. After cleaning, a primer or cleanser can be used to ensure that the oil film is removed, which also allows the lashes to adhere to the silicone pad.In contrast to eyelash extensions, an eyelash lift does not require excessive humidity. This would result in the lash lifting adhesive not drying completely and individual lashes coming loose during the treatment.
The lifting glue must also not be out of date; the best-before date should be checked before each treatment. The same applies to storage: the Lash Lifting glue must be stored in a cool place, otherwise its consistency will change.
Do not use too much lifting glue
To achieve optimum lash lifting results, never use too much lifting glue, otherwise the lashes will be sealed. In concrete terms, this means that the lotions used afterwards cannot penetrate the hair structure.Use the right silicone pads
Firstly, the silicone pads must always be well cleaned, which is a basic requirement for hygiene, but also for adhesion. Secondly, the correct size of the silicone pads is crucial. They must cover the entire width of the eyelid so that all eyelashes can be given the same shape. To ensure a beautiful curl, the curvature of the silicone pad must correspond to the length of the lashes.
Maintain parallelism
For lash lifting, the lashes must be shaped one after the other and arranged in place. If the lashes are placed on top of each other, for example, they will retain this chaotic shape. The result does not meet the client's expectations of a professional studio. It is therefore important to always work carefully to avoid making such mistakes under any circumstances.Adhere precisely to application times
Different products require different application times. If you don't always work with the same brands, you should therefore ensure that the application times are adhered to as stated on the product before treatment. Your experience as a stylist will then tell you at which lash density and thickness you can subtract some time if necessary. But be careful, this deviation should not be too great. Otherwise, the lashes may end up looking as if they are burnt or curled. This can happen if the hairs are chemically burnt. It is advisable to proceed with particular caution, especially with fine lashes.Take notes during the lash lift
As every client has different eyelashes, we recommend that stylists take notes during the lash lift. How much lotion was applied? How long were the application times? What does the lash growth look like? Which products were recommended for home care? Are there any changes in the client's medication intake?
