What do I need to consider before my eyelash appointment?

1. Contact lenses: If possible, contact lens wearers should switch to glasses on this day. If this is not possible, please bring a container and the appropriate solution to the appointment so that you can store your contact lenses safely during the appointment.
2. Come without make-up: It would be best not to wear makeup around your eyes on the day.
3. Remove make-up: However, if it's not possible and you don't want to go without your make-up on the day, you should remove your make-up thoroughly before your appointment. Please do not use any products containing oil to remove your make-up, at least around the eye area. This can lead to the eyelashes not holding well afterwards. Why should you come without make-up? Your stylist only has a limited amount of time and the time reserved for you should not be wasted with extensive make-up removal. You can then use this time to apply more lashes.
4. No waterproof mascara: Basically, you don't need any more mascara. We recommend that you stay away from mascara completely. Mascara contains oils and silicones, which make it last longer and also make everything sticky. But if you do use mascara, please don't use waterproof mascara. This is because you need an oil-based make-up remover to remove it and this is poison for the adhesive areas of your eyelash extensions.
5. Creams: As a general rule, you should avoid using oily or greasy creams in the eye area. Use gels instead. But please do not use an eye gel or eye cream immediately before your appointment. We want to make sure that the eyelash extensions last as long as possible, preferably until the natural lashes fall out.
6. Surgical procedures: Surgery around the eye area, for example an eyelid lift, should have been carried out 6 months ago. If you are planning to have surgery in the near future, even outside the eye area, you should inform your stylist and possibly postpone the filling appointment after this date. Why?
   a) In the case of general anesthesia, it is quite possible that the eyelids will be taped shut to prevent the eye from remaining open during the operation and possibly drying out. When removing the tapes, eyelashes may also be pulled out.
   b) Anesthesia can also affect the durability.
7. PMU - eyeliner: If you are planning an appointment for permanent eyeliner, you should not wear eyelash extensions, which may interfere with the pigmentist's work. After all, we want a beautiful PMU result and your eyelash stylist cannot apply eyelash extensions if you have a fresh PMU eyeliner. Please inform both of them and coordinate the appointments according to the professionals' recommendations.
8. Pregnancy: There are no studies on eyelash extensions during pregnancy. Everything can go well, but there is no guarantee and we should protect unborn life. If you do not want to do without your eyelash extensions during pregnancy, you should always discuss it with your gynecologist and bring your stylist a declaration of no objection from your doctor.
9. Punctuality: Please arrive 5 minutes before and not too late for your appointment. If you arrive much earlier than 5 minutes, we would like to ask you to take a walk, for example. Why? Your stylist plans the appointments carefully and needs time between 2 clients to prepare the room: If you arrive far too early and there is still a client lying on the couch, your stylist may have to unlock the door. This means hygiene measures must be renewed: Wash hands, disinfect, etc. If you are late, your stylist will not be able to extend the time because the next client may arrive after you, relying on the stylist's punctuality.

10. New customers: If you are a new customer, your stylist has scheduled more time for the consultation. Send your eyelash studio a current picture of your eyelashes in advance. This will give your stylist time to prepare for the appointment.
11. Accompanying persons: Please do not bring anyone with you to the appointment. No girlfriend, no boyfriend and no children. Your stylist needs absolute peace and concentration and you should use the eyelash extension time to relax.
12. Your cell phone: You should put your cell phone on silent and leave it in your handbag. It is not possible to read messages or make phone calls during eyelash extensions. You must lie very still so that your eyelash stylist can apply correctly.
13. What else should you bear in mind? Before you start, you should go to the toilet again. Standing up in between is hardly possible, because then the eye pads on which your stylist has marked a lash mapping will slip. Valuable application time is lost.
