There are many different claims about how long professional eyelash glue lasts. While there are some differences in the formulations of eyelash adhesives produced by different companies, the main ingredients remain the same and this also applies to the lifespan of these products.Generally, the shelf life of an eyelash glue is about 8 months after production. However, this can be extended by a few months if it is kept unopened in the refrigerator.
Once opened, the eyelash glue has a shelf life of approx. 3 months if stored and used correctly. The performance of the eyelash glue will diminish over time.
The key point is that the clock is ticking when the manufacturing process is complete. Some eyelash companies may only order eyelash glue once a quarter to replenish their stocks. If you buy a bottle before the lash company receives their replenishment, you may receive a glue that has been stored in a warehouse for more than 3 months and therefore its unopened life has been shortened to less than 5 months.
This is why it is so important to always order from a reliable company that has enough customers to sell and replenish their stock quickly. How should I store my glue?
UNOPENED BOTTLESAs already mentioned, the shelf life of unopened bottles of CFB Cosmetics is approx. 8 months after production. If you do not want to use it for a longer period of time, you should keep it sealed in an aluminum bag so that no air or moisture can get into the bottle. Store it in a cool, dark place out of direct sunlight.
To extend the shelf life of an unopened bottle of glue by another 2 or even 3 months, you can store the unopened glue in the aluminum bag in the refrigerator. This slows down the natural ageing of the ingredients. Similar to food.
If you store your unopened glue in the fridge, it is REALLY important to take it out at least 24 hours before use so that it can warm up to room temperature. This will prevent condensation from forming in the bottle Condensation hardens the glue!
OPENED BOTTLES
First things first: Do not store your eyelash glue in the fridge! As mentioned above, condensation will form in the bottle and the glue will become unusable!
Opened bottles should be tightly closed and stored upright in a cool, dry place. If possible, you should store the glue in the aluminum bag with the silica gel to prevent excessive moisture from getting into the bottle.
Of course, you should keep all glue bottles out of the reach of children!
And remember to shake the glue well before you use it! This will ensure that all the ingredients of each drop contain the right mixture. If you don't shake the glue, it may come out too concentrated and not black (the pigment separates from the cyanoacrylate and settles at the bottom of the bottle). If you see that the glue is a watery gray rather than deep black when you take a drop, it has not been shaken well.
How do I know when I need a new adhesive?
It's actually quite simple. Just write on the bottle or aluminum bag when you opened your glue and make a note of the expiration date.If you don't write down dates, you're living dangerously and riskily. You will probably realize far too late that you need a new eyelash glue. And you may have to cancel customers while you wait for your order to arrive.
So, always order the glue in good time so that you don't lose any customers.
