Eyelash extensions during pregnancy
Do you love your eyelash extensions and wonder whether you have to do without them during pregnancy and breastfeeding? In this article, we want to address this very topic and provide information on how eyelash extensions can affect you as a customer and your child during these special phases of life.
During pregnancy, there are hormonal fluctuations that can change the growth cycle of your eyelashes. In the second half of pregnancy, you will notice that your lashes appear longer and fuller. This is due to an increased oestrogen level, which promotes eyelash growth. As the eyelash cycle has lengthened, there are fewer lashes in the shedding phase, resulting in a fuller appearance.
After childbirth, however, there is a massive drop in hormone levels, which causes many lashes to enter the shedding phase and fall out more frequently.
For this reason, we recommend that you avoid any kind of eyelash extensions in the second half of your pregnancy and enjoy natural eyelash extensions due to the increased oestrogen levels. Nothing comes close to the fullness and naturalness of your own eyelashes.
However, we would like to point out that a visit to your GP is also advisable during breastfeeding to ensure that there are no health concerns. This is for the safety and well-being of both stylist and client.
