With this knowledge, you can master any eyelash glue!

When it comes to conventional eyelash adhesives, the main ingredient is cyanoacrylate. The drying time and adhesion of the adhesive can be influenced by various external factors.

Humidity: Cyanoacrylate requires moisture to harden. It draws this moisture either from the ambient air or from the natural lash itself.

Room temperature: The temperature in the room is another factor that influences the drying time of the eyelash glue.

If the humidity is too high or the temperature is too high, the glue dries too quickly, possibly even before it reaches the natural lash, which can lead to a poor bond between the artificial lash and the natural lash. If the humidity is too low, the glue dries more slowly. This can cause volume fans to collapse if they are not applied to the natural lash in time. Even worse is the risk of neighboring lashes sticking together.

Please check the optimum conditions in the product description and keep an eye on the humidity and room temperature with a hygrometer.

Polymerization: The curing of the eyelash glue is exothermic, which means that heat is released in the process. Special care must therefore be taken when handling highly flammable materials such as cotton.

Removing the glue: The ingredients in the bottle are optimally mixed to achieve the best adhesive properties. If the glue is left unused for a long time, the heavier ingredients can settle at the bottom of the bottle while the lighter ones move to the top. Before dispensing, you should shake the glue thoroughly, ideally with our electric shaker. This way, every drop gets the optimum mixture and the best adhesive properties.

Cleaning the neck of the bottle: After each removal, the neck of the bottle should be wiped with a tissue to prevent glue residue from sticking to the lid. Clean the neck of the bottle thoroughly, otherwise the lid may no longer be able to be screwed on.

Changing the drop during application: Use the drop as long as it does not change its consistency. If the glue starts to pull threads, the drop is no longer usable and should be changed immediately. A natural stone or glass block is an ideal base as it remains cool even in warm temperatures.

Storage: Eyelash glue should be stored in a cool, dry and dark place, but not in the refrigerator. Strong temperature fluctuations can make the glue unusable. Keep the glue out of the reach of children. A good storage option is a container with rice, which absorbs moisture, and a bag of silica gel to prevent moisture from entering the glue bottle.

Glue unusability: If the glue changes its viscosity and becomes stringy or changes color, it is unusable.

Black and transparent glue: Black eyelash glue contains carbon black for color, while transparent glue has no dyes and offers better adhesion.

Solvent: Remover containing acetone can easily dissolve the lash glue, but follow the instructions for use.

Not suitable for strip lashes: Professional eyelash adhesives are not water-soluble and are therefore not suitable for strip lashes.

Be careful when using eyelash glue and choose the right glue for your needs and working speed. It is an advantage to have both a fast and a slower adhesive to hand.
