Instructions for the correct use and care of eyelash glue

1. the eyelash glue should be shaken well before each use. This ensures that each quantity of glue is evenly mixed and therefore has the best consistency.

2. to remove a drop of glue, hold the bottle vertically with the neck of the glue pointing downwards. This prevents too much moisture from entering the bottle during removal.

3. after removing the glue, you should turn the bottle upside down and clean the neck of the glue. A useful tip is to tap the bottom of the bottle on the table so that the remaining drop reaches the top.

Close the bottle again immediately after removal.

4. the drop of glue should be replaced every 20 to 30 minutes. If the adhesive starts to string, a new drop should be used immediately.

If the entire contents of the bottle are stringy, the adhesive can no longer be used.

5. observe the optimum processing climate for the adhesive, which is specified in the respective product description.

These steps will help to ensure optimum application and longevity of the eyelash glue.

What happens if the eyelash glue is not shaken?

If the eyelash glue is not shaken sufficiently, the mixing ratio in each drop will vary. As a result, the last drops may not provide optimal durability for the lash extensions. In addition, incomplete polymerization can occur, which may cause a slight burning sensation, for example when showering. It is therefore crucial to shake the adhesive thoroughly before use to ensure consistent quality and compatibility.

Storage instructions for eyelash glue:

Eyelash adhesives are sensitive to temperature fluctuations. It is therefore important to store them in a cool, dry and dark place, out of the reach of children. Store the glue in the bag supplied together with the silica gel beads. The silica gel removes excess moisture from the bag to prevent moisture from entering the glue bottle and causing the glue to harden prematurely. Storage in the refrigerator is not recommended. In addition, the eyelash glue should not be stored in direct sunlight.

If you have bought eyelash glue in stock, carry out a shake test regularly to ensure that the glue is still liquid. This will help you to check that no moisture has penetrated and that the glue in the bottle has not hardened.

Curing and polymerization of eyelash adhesives

Cyanoacrylate, the main component of conventional eyelash adhesives, requires an appropriate level of humidity and an optimum room temperature for curing and polymerization. If the relative humidity or room temperature increases, the eyelash adhesive hardens faster. Conversely, this process slows down at lower humidity or lower temperatures. For ideal conditions in summer, a dehumidifier or air conditioning unit is recommended, while in winter a humidifier and suitable heating settings are beneficial.

In addition, an innovative development has become established in the eyelash industry: UV light-curing eyelash adhesives. These adhesives cure exclusively under UV light and enable significantly faster curing. This represents a significant revolution in the industry, as it considerably speeds up and simplifies the application process.

Apply eyelash glue correctly

To correctly apply glue to the eyelash extensions, gently dip them into the central part of the glue drop and slowly pull them out. The central part of the glue drop contains the freshest and most powerful glue. If you notice that the extension has absorbed too much or too little glue, dip it in again and gently pull it out to adjust the amount.

Avoid dipping the extension directly into the bottom of the glue drop. This can change the shape of the glue drop and impair the optimum bonding effect of the glue. Careful handling will ensure that the extension is evenly coated with the correct amount of glue, resulting in optimal durability and performance.

Recognizing unusable eyelash glue

A clear sign that eyelash glue should no longer be used is the appearance of threads when pulling the glue. This phenomenon indicates that the polymerization has progressed too far and the glue has lost its effectiveness for application. In such cases, it is recommended to use a new drop of adhesive regularly, approximately every 15 to 30 minutes, to ensure optimum application quality.

Another warning is a discoloration of the glue: If the glue drop loses its deep black color and appears transparent instead, this is an indicator that the pigment in the glue has decomposed and deposited at the bottom of the bottle. Under these circumstances, the glue can no longer be mixed evenly and is unsuitable for further use. In such a case, it is necessary to replace the current eyelash glue and use a new one to guarantee the quality and safety of the eyelash extensions.
