A Comparison of Silicone Pads for Lash Lifting / Lamination
Today we have a short but helpful CFB blog post for you.
Since we’re often asked about the size differences between the standard silicone pads—S, M, M1, M2, and L—we took a closer look at them for you.
We cut the pads in half at their highest point and measured the following diameters:
The widths of the silicone pads may vary slightly, but should be recorded as follows:
Cleaning & Care of the Silicone Pads:
Clean the silicone pads in boiling water. Cleaning agents containing acetone or alcohol damage the surface. This causes the silicone pads to become brittle and fragile. If the pads are cleaned with such agents, residues remain on the brittle surface; when combined with the lash lifting adhesive, these can cause a slight burning sensation in sensitive clients. Although this sensation disappears very quickly, it should be avoided for the client’s comfort.

- M = 2.5 mm
- M1 = 3 mm
- M2 = 4 mm
- L = 5 mm
The widths of the silicone pads may vary slightly, but should be recorded as follows:
- S = approx. 50 mm
- M = approx. 50 mm
- M1 = approx. 48 mm
- M2 = approx. 48 mm
- L = approx. 45 mm
