When it comes to conventionaleyelash adhesives, the main ingredient is cyanoacrylate. The drying time and adhesion of the adhesive can be affected by various external factors.

Humidity: Cyanoacrylate requires moisture to cure. It draws this moisture either from the surrounding air or from the natural eyelash itself.

Room temperature: The temperature in the room is another factor that affects the drying time of the eyelash adhesive.

If the humidity is too high or the temperature is too high, the adhesive dries too quickly—possibly even before it reaches the natural eyelash—which can result in a poor bond between the artificial eyelash and the natural eyelash. If the humidity is too low, the adhesive dries more slowly. This can cause volume fans to collapse if they aren’t applied to the natural lash in time. Even worse is the risk of neighboring lashes sticking together.

Polymerization: The curing of the eyelash adhesive is an exothermic process, meaning that heat is released during this process. Therefore, special caution is required when handling highly flammable materials such as cotton.

Removing the Adhesive: The ingredients in the bottle are optimally mixed to achieve the best adhesive properties. If the adhesive sits unused for an extended period, the heavier ingredients may settle at the bottom of the bottle, while the lighter ones rise to the top. Before dispensing, you should shake the adhesive thoroughly, ideally using our electricshaker. This ensures that every drop has the optimal mixture and best adhesive properties.

Cleaning the bottle neck: After each use, wipe the bottle neck with a tissue to prevent adhesive residue from sticking the cap shut. Clean the bottle neck thoroughly; otherwise, you may not be able to screw the cap back on.

Replacing the drop during application: Use the drop as long as its consistency remains unchanged. If the adhesive begins to form strings, the drop is no longer usable and should be replaced immediately. A natural stone or glass brick makes an ideal surface, as it stays cool even in warm temperatures.

Storage: Eyelash glue should be stored in a cool, dry, and dark place, but not in the refrigerator. Significant temperature fluctuations can render the glue unusable. Keep the glue out of the reach of children. A good way to store it is in a container with rice, which absorbs moisture, and a packet of silica gel to prevent moisture from entering the glue bottle.

Glue has gone bad: If the glue changes viscosity, forms strings, or changes color, it is no longer usable.

Black and clear glue: Black eyelash glue contains carbon black for color, while clear glue contains no dyes and offers better adhesion.

Solvents: Acetone-basedremovercan easily dissolve eyelash glue, but be sure to follow the instructions for use.

Not suitable for strip lashes: Professional eyelash adhesives are not water-soluble and are therefore not suitable for strip lashes.
