Note on the NiSV Regulation
Plasma pens such as the PlasCom® Plasma Pen are not currently considered to fall under the NiSV, as they do not use non-ionizing radiation in the traditional sense, such as lasers or IPL.
In some federal states, particularly Bavaria and Schleswig-Holstein, the use of a plasma pen on humans is sometimes classified as a medical procedure. As a result, special legal requirements may apply in those regions.
